About the Band

RXN(pronounced Reaction) is a Canadian hard rock group formed in Sault Ste Marie in 2009. Originally formed after Tukker Patry as a solo artist, joined with vocalist Shawn Dunn, the duo began writing songs immediately, and found success. Afterwards, drummer Caleb Pitaro and Bassist Josh "J-sus" McEwen joined, forming the original 4 man line-up. The line-up was together for about 3 months, and were ready to begin recording, when J-Sus was removed from the band, by guitarist Tukker Patry, with support from the other members. This left the band without a bassist, with the void planned to be filled on studio tracks by guitarist Tukker Patry playing bass as well.

Until a bassist is found, the 3 man line-up continues to write music, in preparation for a time when recording is possible. Tukker is also working multiple jobs in order to purchase all the recording equipment needed, to be prepared for the time where it will be needed.

RXN's logo, commonly called the "Reaction M", is a combination of the letters "R", "X", and "N", and was designed by Tukker and Shawn in their grade 11 math class. It was this same class where Tukker and Shawn wrote several of their songs, and spent most of their class time singing songs and writing.
